En la Revista se publican artículos con temas relacionados a Zoología, Sistemática, Ecología, Paleontología, Bioquímica, Biogeografía, Genética, etc.
Considerando la vinculación de todos los eventos naturales con el hombre, así como de la problemática ambiental de nuestro planeta, que finalmente también afecta al área zoológica, es la razón por lo que se cuenta con la sección de Educación Ambiental para el Desarrollo Sustentable en nuestra Revista de Zoología.
Los artículos pueden estar en inglés o español, en el caso de escritos en español, el resumen debe estar en inglés y español. Use inglés americano normal ó inglés británico, no los mezcle.
El comité editorial manda un recibo de cada manuscrito recibido. Este comité les enviará los manuscritos a especialistas en cada tema y ellos decidirán sobre la aceptación en el trabajo.
Para los manuscritos aceptados el Comité Editorial enviará al autor(es) carta que indique la fecha aproximada de las publicaciones.
Los manuscritos enviados a la REVISTA DE ZOOLOGIA, deben ser inéditos y serán publicados tan rápido como sea posible si cumplen con las siguientes instrucciones. Estos requerimientos no son absolutos, pero se consideran los más adecuados.
Idioma: Se aceptarán contribuciones en Español e Inglés.
FORMA DEL MANUSCRITO: El manuscrito original debe ser enviado por email, escrito a doble espacio en Word. El manuscrito deberá estar dividido en secciones las cuales son:
Título: El Título deberá ser ilustrativo del contenido de la investigación.
Autores: Nombre completo y sin abreviaturas de los autores.
Dirección: Dirección completa de los autores, incluyendo código postal, email y teléfono o celular.
Resumen: Incluir un resumen de máximo de 15 renglones, con los aspectos fundamentales de la investigación incluyendo resultados y conclusiones .
Palabras clave: Incluir máximo 6 palabras clave, las cuales permitan la fácil búsqueda automatizada de la contribución.
Abstract: Elaborar el resumen del trabajo en idioma Inglés. La correcta traducción en inglés es bajo responsabilidad del contribuyente.
Key Words: Palabras clave en inglés.
Texto: El texto del trabajo incluye la introducción, metodología, resultados, discusión y conclusiones, secuenciadas en orden lógico a juicio de los contribuyentes. La literatura citada en el texto se anota como los siguientes ejemplos: Rodríguez (1959), (Rodríguez y col., 1959), (López y Gutiérrez,, 1978).
Todos los dibujos, mapas y fotografías, deberán ser referidos como figuras y numeradas secuencialmente (e.g. Fig.1) e incluídas al final del trabajo en páginas separadas señalando el párrafo en donde debe ubicarse. Los pies de figura se incluyen posteriormente a la figura correspondiente. Así mismo los cuadros se enumeran secuencialmente e independientemente de las figuras

Literatura citada: La veracidad de las citas es absoluta responsabilidad de los contribuyentes. Sólo incluir la literatura referida en el texto. Las citas se ordenan en orden alfabético y siguiendo los ejemplos:

El Museo de Las Ciencias Biológicas “Enrique Beltrán”, no pretende lucrar con la publicación de La Revista de Zoología, por lo que la publicación es totalmente gratuita, los autores podrán bajar de nuestra página sus contribuciones publicadas.
EDITORIAL RULES
Articles with topics related to Zoology, Systematics, Ecology, Paleontology, Biochemistry, Biogeography, Genetics, etc. are published in the Journal.
Considering the connection of all natural events with man, as well as the environmental problems of our planet, which finally also affects the zoological area, is the reason why we have the Environmental Education for Sustainable Development section in our Journal of Zoology.
Articles can be in English or Spanish, in the case of written in Spanish, the abstract must be in English and Spanish. Use normal American English or British English, do not mix them.
The editorial committee sends a receipt for each manuscript received. This committee will send the manuscripts to specialists in each subject and they will decide on acceptance into the work.
For accepted manuscripts, the Editorial Committee will send the author (s) a letter indicating the approximate date of the publications.
Manuscripts sent to REVISTA DE ZOOLOGIA must be unpublished and will be published as quickly as possible if they comply with the following instructions. These requirements are not absolute, but are considered the most appropriate.
Language: Contributions in Spanish and English will be accepted.
MANUSCRIPT FORM: The original manuscript must be sent by email, double-spaced in Word. The manuscript must be divided into sections which are:
Title: The Title should be illustrative of the content of the investigation.
Authors: Full name and without abbreviations of the authors.
Address: Complete address of the authors, including postal code, email and telephone or cell phone.
Summary: Include a summary of a maximum of 15 lines, with the fundamental aspects of the investigation including results and conclusions.
Keywords: Include a maximum of 6 keywords, which allow easy automated search for the contribution.
Abstract: Prepare the summary of the work in English. The correct translation in English is under the responsibility of the taxpayer.
